Is there a program like cryptkeeper for Ubuntu?

    Hey,

I was informed by so many resources cryptkeeper have a major bug that negates it's purpose. Is there any other program like cryptkeeper for ubuntu that actually works?

    Thanks in advance.

There doesn't appear to be any mention of the ppa on the veracrypt site. How do you know it's secure

There is Gnome Encfs Manager, which does the same job.

Alternatively, you could manage the encFs directories by using the command line. That avoids any security issues introduced by GUI applications.
BACKUPS are unsexy — until you discover you should have done one yesterday.
Spare your nerves and do one before you upgrade or install.

Try SiriKali. I'm not sure if it's available for all *buntus.

The ppa is maintained by some Ubuntu user and not by varacrypt apparently, it gives you a convenient way to install and update. If you are CIA or some such and don't trust it you can always download and install from varacryot itself.
